My IT career has included working in small start-ups to large corporations, crossing into a range of industries, and holding various positions in each. Some of these positions involved working on teams, while in other positions, I was the sole IT contact. Some of my responsibilities have included help desk support, application testing, product documentation, training, budget preparation, telecommunications including VOIP, network migrations, network security, LAN\WAN design, implementation and support, and project management.
Present
Since I have thoroughly enjoyed my career as an IT professional, the decision to pursue a new venture had to include the IT industry. After taking on a couple of web projects for friends and non-profit organizations, I decided my new direction would be web design. Not only were the projects challenging and rewarding, I really enjoyed this line of work..
While developing a thorough understanding of technology, I've never forgotten the importance of 'translating' to non-technical folks. Many of my customers are small business owners who are not familiar with computer technology or the internet. They have no idea where to begin the process of creating a website but they know they need a website. I will explain the process, answer all of your questions, communicate your projects process, AND I'll stick around to support your website after it has been completed.
